Departure Day

Plane's arrived and we're ready-to-go. Over and out.

House on Fire

Our final weekend in Swaziland was the annual Bush Fire International Music Festival. The festival was also going on during our first weekend in Swaziland, so it was the perfect bookend. As we are now safe and sound back in the United States and preparing for our transition to San Diego, I'm going to sign-off the blog and I thought a beginning and end photo would be a great way to wrap-up, 'Doug and Paisley in Swaziland.' Thanks for following our journey. XO

Tell me we look exactly the same! Ha.

Girl's Hike

When Doug was in Lesotho for the Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI) annual network meeting, Keri and Laura organized a 'Girl's Hike' in celebration of their May birthdays. It was a beautiful day and a great way to spend time with girlfriends on one of my final weekends in Swaziland. We hiked to a waterfall in Pine Valley and schlepped-in a 5 course picnic!

Like most hikes in Swaziland, the way in is 'down' and the way out is 'up.' I prefer the up, up, up at the start so that the homestretch is all downhill; but, with 8 other women to chat to, even the way out went quickly.
