The 'Poot'

Too much is happening! I haven’t kept up with our blog; therefore, I am going to toss in a couple of short entries to try and catch-up. Over the weekend of September 13 and 14th, Doug and I went with a couple of frisbee friends to Mozambique to scrimmage the Mozambiquans in preparation for the National Ultimate Frisbee Tournament which we played in last weekend (more to come on that one). It was our first trip to Moz and we were excited to get out of ‘small town’ Mbabane and to check out the capital city of Maputo. We made the short trip (only about 3.5 hours) on Saturday morning and met everyone at the beach for some frisbee. After a few games and pulling Doug away from the kite surfers launching from the same beach, we went to dinner and to a house party with our hosts, Joe and Steph (Joe works for the British High Commission and they’ve been in Moz since June). We had a lot of fun, sang some horrible karaoke (including a duet a la Doug and Paisley), ate a ton of seafood, and made it back on Sunday without ever paying a bribe to a police officer (which apparently is amazing luck for our first trip to Moz…).
